Our Story

About Seisuke Knife

Crafted in Japan.
Loved Worldwide.

At Seisuke, we believe that a knife is more than a
tool
— it’s a bridge between craftsmanship and
culture.
Our story begins in Japan, but it’s told in
kitchens
across the world.

A Legacy of
Craftsmanship

Our roots trace back to Japan’s historic knife-
making
towns — Sakai, Echizen, and Tosa —
where
generations of artisans have forged blades
with
precision and pride.
Every Seisuke knife
carries the spirit of these
traditions, shaped by
hand and perfected by fire.

Meet The Craftsman

Our knives begin with the hands of true
Japanese craftsmen —
forged with skill,
shaped by tradition,
and made to inspire.

  • Yu Kurosaki

Yu Kurosaki is known for bold blade designs that fuse modern metallurgy with traditional forging for enduring sharpness and performance.

  • Takeshi Saji

Takeshi Saji is a revered master blacksmith who has been making knives for over 50 years.

  • Anryu Knives

Anryu has passed the knifemaking torch to his nephew and apprentice, Takumi Ikeda, who will carry on the brand’s legacy.

  • Yoshimi Kato

Kato wows globally with his heat-treated metallurgy, notably the R2/SG2 “black damascus” series, prized for its sharp edge and precision.

  • Hideo Kitaoka

Kitaoka specializes solely in single-bevel knives, knives sharpened on only one side with the other side remaining relatively flat.

A Legacy of Craftsmanship

Our roots trace back to Japan’s historic knife-making towns — Sakai, Echizen, and Tosa —
where generations of artisans have forged blades with precision and pride.
Every Seisuke knife carries the spirit of these traditions, shaped by hand and perfected by fire.
